CIRCULATION: Used internally or externally Cayenne is renowned for helping with circulation.

Internally: Take doses two to four times a day to strengthen the circulatory system, blood vessels and veins; encourage blood to the extremities, and gently dilate capillaries, thereby increasing blood flow and body warmth. This is very good to try for varicose veins, frostbite and other poor circulation problems, such as sinus congestion and many types of digestive distress. Strong, healthy blood circulation to all your body tissues increases your capacity for stamina and recovery from illness.

Enhancing circulation increases the blood's ability to carry out a flushing action in the joints, organs, and other body tissues. This idea comes into play along with the "carrier herb" principle of Cayenne which I described in the Personality Profile. When mixed with other herbs (or when used alone but to a lesser degree), Cayenne excites the other herbs in a formula to greater action and carries them more efficiently into the tissues. I have observed that toxic waste deposits are more efficiently flushed out.
