HOT SOAK FOR SPRAINED OR ACHING MUSCLES OR JOINTS

1 oz Rosemary

1 oz Comfrey root

1 gallon water

Bring the ingredients to a boil in a large flat pan. Turn off the heat and let steep until cool enough to use. The hot soak should be used as hot as possible. This liquid can also be used as a compress and the herbs applied as a plaster. When you can, insert the sprained ankle or hand or sore muscle in the hot water and soak for at least 5 minutes. Then immediately plunge into the cold soak for 2 minutes.
